This high-efficiency, waterproof 150W 12V monocrystalline solar panel is designed for permanent outdoor use to provide free electricity for charging 12V batteries. It can power various applications such as camper vans, motorhomes, boats, sheds, farms, as well as remote applications like telecommunications or monitoring equipment. In addition, it can provide a direct power supply for applications not sensitive to changes in input voltage/current (e.g. electric motors or pumps).

The panel comes with 5m of special solar cable, which can withstand high roof temperatures with minimal power losses. It is also equipped with male/female MC4 connectors crimped on the end of the cable for easy connection to other solar panels, extension leads, or existing systems. The MC4 connectors can be removed when wiring to the screw terminals of the solar charge controller.

The long-lasting, high-efficiency monocrystalline solar cells and the tough, sealed aluminum frame ensure consistent, free power for many years. The waterproof design allows the panel to be used in all weather conditions. Additionally, this panel features innovative 5 busbar solar cells, which are more efficient than the 2, 3, or 4 busbar solar cells used in most other panels and can extract more power from the same surface area. This results in a smaller overall solar panel, ideal for applications with limited space. These solar cells are also the best choice for applications in warmer climates, as they operate well even in high ambient temperatures.

10A Solar Charge Controller:

The kit includes a 10A 12V/24V Photonic Universe solar charge controller designed to protect batteries while charging them, with automatic cutoff to prevent overcharging and deep discharge. The controller uses PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) technology, which increases charge acceptance and prolongs the life of your battery. It can also recover some lost battery capacity. The controller stops reverse current at night (from the battery back to the solar panel) to prevent your battery from losing any charge. It also provides protection against overcharge/discharge, overload, short circuits, overheating, and more.

Please take note of the following details about the solar charge controller:

The controller includes various features such as LED indicators, a temperature sensor, and an on/off button for load. It is compact, measuring only 14x7cm. This controller is compatible with sealed, gel, and flooded batteries, with the default setting being sealed. The user can change the battery type using the communication methods outlined below.

The controller can handle up to 160W (12V battery) or 320W (24V battery) of solar power input, making it suitable for small to medium solar PV systems with a battery and load, such as those found in campervans or boats.

Furthermore, the controller is equipped with advanced communication technology, allowing users to monitor and program parameters through various methods:

1) Connection to a remote meter MT50 with an LCD screen for manual parameter adjustment.

2) Connection to a Wi-Fi module to create a Wi-Fi network, enabling monitoring and adjustment of charging parameters through a mobile app (Solar Station Monitor) available for Android and iOS users.

3) Use of an RJ45 to USB cable to connect the controller directly to a PC or laptop for monitoring and adjustment using the Solar Station Monitor computer program (available for Windows-based PCs and laptops).

By utilizing these communication methods, users can access various charging parameters and adjust settings as needed, including voltage, current, battery state of charge, charge and discharge energy, voltage limits, and more. Users can also customize load settings, amend the battery type and capacity, set charging volts for different stages, specify charging stage durations, and create a user-defined battery type with specific charging parameters if the pre-existing options are not suitable.

Additionally, the controller includes a built-in temperature sensor and terminals for connecting a remote temperature sensor to measure battery temperature more precisely and optimize the charging process.

Please note: Due to our warehouse arrangements, the solar charge controller may be shipped from a different warehouse than the solar panel and therefore delivered in a separate package. This product is covered by a 1-year warranty provided by Photonic Universe, including a 1-year warranty for the solar charge controller and a 1-year workmanship warranty for the solar panel. Defective items will be repaired or replaced at our discretion. In addition, the solar cells are guaranteed to produce at least 90% of nominal power in 10 years after purchase and at least 80% of nominal power in 25 years after purchase. This warranty is provided by the manufacturer of the solar cells.

Regarding fitting, the solar panel in this kit can be fitted to a flat roof using metal brackets, plastic brackets, or a variety of other methods.
